Message from the Superintendent
Dear Premont ISD Families and Community,
As the signs of fall surround us, we are reminded that growth is a process. Just as nature moves through seasons of change, our students are growing each day, academically, socially, and personally.
Thus, I am honored to share that we have already noticed improved beginning of-the-year mClass scores for our kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students in comparison to this time last year. We are reminded that it takes all of us to do this great work. Every conversation about school, every word of encouragement, every celebration of progress, and every reminder to persevere helps cultivate a mindset of growth in our children.
As we enter this season of gratitude and reflection, I encourage us to lean into the process of growth as we celebrate progress, not just perfection. Let us recognize how far our students have come while continuing to believe deeply in how far they can go. Fall reminds us that change can be beautiful; growth takes time, and every season serves a purpose. Together, we will continue planting seeds, nurturing potential, and creating the conditions for every student to flourish.
Thank you for your continued partnership, your belief in our students, and your commitment to our schools. Together, we are Intentionally Making Progress and Cultivating Talent for every student, in every classroom, every day.
With gratitude,
Dr. Mareka Austin
